ICT Senior Database Administrator

As ICT Senior Database Administrator, you will work within a highly specialist environment, supporting a large and diverse estate of SQL Server and other database technologies that underpin essential Trust systems.

This permanent role is based at Great Ormond Street Hospital in central London and is offered at Agenda for Change Band 8a, 37.5 hours per week.

• Maintain the availability, performance and security of Trust database platforms that support clinical and non-clinical applications.
• Provide expert administration of SQL Server environments and other relational database management systems.
• Lead on database backup, recovery, patching and resilience to ensure service continuity and compliance with service expectations.
• Troubleshoot complex database issues and work closely with internal teams and third-party suppliers to deliver timely resolutions.
• Support database-related projects, system improvements and operational performance initiatives across the Trust.
• Promote best practice in database usage, security and governance with technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Help ensure that data is accessible only to appropriately authorised personnel.
