Java Full Stack Developer

I am hiring for Java Full Stack Developer

Location: Manchester (4 days onsite per week)

We are hiring a Java Full Stack Developer with strong experience in backend engineering, microservices, and modern cloud/container-based development. This role sits within a high-performing technology team delivering scalable, secure, and high-quality financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain scalable applications using Java (8–17), Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and event-driven solutions using messaging frameworks
• Work on containerised deployments using Docker within private cloud environments
• Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, Gradle, Artifactory, and TeamCity
• Build and support user-facing applications using Angular or similar frontend frameworks
• Ensure clean code principles (SOLID, OOP) and best engineering practices across all deliverables

Required Skills & Experience:
• Strong hands-on experience in Java 17 and Spring Boot
• Microservices architecture and distributed systems design
• REST API development and integration
• Experience with messaging systems (MQ, JMS, QuickFIX/J)
• CI/CD tools: GitLab, TeamCity, Gradle, Artifactory
• Containerisation using Docker
• SQL Server database experience
• Version control using Git
• Frontend experience with Angular (or similar JavaScript frameworks)
• Understanding of clean code, OOP, and SOLID principles
