📌 Hiring: Python Developer | London, UK | 6-Month Contract | Hybrid 🚀

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to join a leading investment banking client in London, UK on a 6-month hybrid contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with strong Python development expertise and hands-on experience in trading and risk management systems within Investment Banking / Capital Markets environments.

🔹 Key Responsibilities
Develop and enhance Python-based applications for trading and risk management use cases
Build data processing pipelines and automation solutions for trade, risk, and reconciliation workflows
Work with large financial datasets supporting PnL, risk calculations, and reporting
Design and develop REST APIs and backend services
Collaborate with traders, quants, and risk teams to deliver technical solutions
Contribute to system architecture, scalability, CI/CD, and deployment processes
Provide production support, performance optimization, and troubleshooting
Write and maintain high-quality unit and integration tests
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers

🔹 Required Skills
✅ 7–12 years of experience in Python development
✅ Strong Core Python expertise (6–10+ years)
✅ Excellent SQL skills with experience handling large datasets
✅ Hands-on experience with Pandas and NumPy
✅ Experience building RESTful APIs using Flask, FastAPI, or Django
✅ Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization
✅ Experience with Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting

🔹 Domain Experience (Mandatory)
📈 Investment Banking / Capital Markets experience
Hands-on exposure to:
Market Risk
Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR)
PnL
Trade Lifecycle
Reconciliation
Knowledge of financial products:
Derivatives (Swaps, Futures, Options)
Bonds

🔹 Nice to Have
PySpark or large-scale data processing experience
Exposure to quantitative models and pricing systems
Bash/Unix scripting
Experience working in global banking environments
